    Biomedical Lead Technician

     

    Job Description
    Supervisor will be proficient at performing asset management, repair, and preventative maintenance duties on a variety of clinical devices. Supervisor must utilize excellent customer service skills while performing duties. In addition, Supervisor will oversee the day to day operations of the department, ensuring the ongoing quality, responsiveness, and customer service provided to our customers remains excellent.

    Work Schedule
    80 hours biweekly as scheduled

    Skills Required
    Shall possess an Associate’s Degree in Biomed, or have completed equivalent advanced military Biomedical training. AAMI certification a plus.

    Experience Required
    A minimum of 3 years experience in Biomed, preferably at McLeod, is required. The Experience operating and repairing computers and computer networks a big plus.  Must be proficient with computers and software systems, as their duties will revolve around the heavy use of email, Biomed CMMS software, Kronos timekeeper, Word, etc.

    Biomed Electronic Tech I

     

    Technician will be responsible for, at a minimum, performing asset management, repair, and preventative maintenance duties on a variety of clinical devices. Technician must utilize excellent customer service skills while performing duties.

    Work Schedule
    Full-time (80 hours biweekly) as scheduled; call is required. 

    Department Description
    Biomedical Equipment is composed of a team of BMETs, Imaging Specialists, and Equipment Transporters, who collaborate to perform asset management, repair, and preventative maintenance duties on a variety of clinical devices for all three McLeod campuses and all of the McLeod physician practice offices.

    Skills Required
    Technician shall possess an Associate's Degree in Biomed, or have completed equivalent advanced military Biomedical training. AAMI certification a plus.

    Valid drivers license is required.

    Experience Required
    Experience with surgical devices, including sterilizers is a big plus. Technician must be able to perform asset management, repair, and preventative maintenance tasks on at least basic clinical equipment initially, gradually progressing to more complex systems over a reasonable time period. Technician must apply excellent customer service skills at all times, and be an outstanding team player. Technician must be willing and able to learn new and varied devices. Experience operating and repairing computers and computer networks a big plus.

    Job Description

    Responsible for, at a minimum, performing asset management, repair, and preventative maintenance duties on a variety of clinical devices, general biomedical equipment, vital sign monitors, telemetry, and or equipment. The BMET will also serve as a technician to any offsite organizations servicing various devices for the facility. These devices may be located at any facility serviced by the Biomedical Services Department. The BMET must be able to perform asset management, repair, and preventative maintenance tasks on at least basic equipment initially, gradually progressing to more complex systems over a reasonable time period. Technician must apply excellent customer service skills at all times, and be an independent worker with the ability to think for themselves as well as take responsibility for his/her conduct, actions, etc.  Specialist will be responsible for taking call on a rotating basis, as needed.

    Radiologic Engineer
    Dartmouth-Hitchcock

    Dartmouth-Hitchcock is seeking a Radiologic Engineer from Tuesday-Saturday. The Radiologic Engineer maintains, diagnoses, repairs, and calibrates all types of highly technical/computerized medical, treatment and imaging. Qualified candidates must have an associate's degree in Electronic Engineering with 4 years of diagnostic imaging experience, or must have the equivalent in education and experience. It is preferred that the candidate has a Bachelor’s degree but is not required. 


    Key Responsibilities:

    • ·      Maintains, diagnoses, repairs, and calibrate electronic medical, treatment and imaging equipment and conducts electrical safety and radiation testing. 
    • ·      Determines the need for emergency replacement of equipment or parts to maintain continuous departmental operations, and to protect the safety of patient and operators. Serves as a technical resource in Radiation Therapy, Radiology and patient life-support equipment.
    • ·      Oversees and reviews calibration, scheduled maintenance, and equipment history documentation. Monitor safety maintenance for hospital, and clinic. Responds to recalls, incidents and complaints.
    • ·      Performs routine radiographic and fluoroscopic compliance testing. Performs QC testing on all related ancillary equipment. Maintain documentation to meet regulatory requirements as specified by JCAHO, ACR, state, and federal agencies.
    • ·      Develops new systems and/or make equipment modifications to meet departmental needs. In conjunction with Biomedical Engineering leadership, recommends replacement, selection, and installation of new equipment and systems. Participates in equipment evaluation and certification requirements.
    • ·      Continually updates knowledge base through participation in institutional, departmental, or service training course to maintain and enhance the level of proficiency in highly technical electronic medical, treatment and imaging equipment.
